November 8

Let us pray in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Today we consider the saints alive and struggling in our local and global neighborhoods.
What can be our response to the many needs around us? We are called to walk the way of Jesus in the world. What does that mean?  Let us pray:

As we pray each line of this litany of service, please respond, [Let us walk in your ways.]

Dear God,
You teach us to care for each other … [ Let us walk in your ways.]
You teach us to be responsible citizens … [ Let us walk in your ways.]
You teach us to seek forgiveness … [ Let us walk in your ways.]
You teach us to grant forgiveness … [ Let us walk in your ways.]
You teach t us to protect the value of life … [ Let us walk in your ways.]
You teach us to be peaceful … [ Let us walk in your ways.]
You teach us to be just … [ Let us walk in your ways.]
You teach us to be compassionate … [ Let us walk in your ways.]
You teach us to care for the gift of our environment and all creation… [ Let us walk in your ways.]
You teach us to respect one another … [ Let us walk in your ways.]

May we always remember that you walk with us in our daily journeys.

Let us continue our litany of the saints by asking for the prayers of those Saints who wrote the New Testament:
St. Matthew … [ Pray for Us]
St. Mark … [ Pray for Us]
St. Luke … [ Pray for Us]
St. John … [ Pray for Us]
St. Paul … [ Pray for Us]
St. James … [ Pray for Us]
St. Timothy … [ Pray for Us]
St. Peter … [ Pray for Us]

We close our prayer time now and move into our day in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
