Monday, October 2
We begin our reflections and prayers in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Today is the Memorial of Guardian Angels. May they always be present to protect and bless us.
Today is also International Day of Non-Violence. It is the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, leader of the Indian independence movement and an early promoter of non-violence. Jesus is our model and inspiration to find ways of dealing with one another in peaceful ways. Today we ask Jesus to help us be peacemakers!
All of God's children are different and so this October we celebrate diversity meaning that each one of us gets to show a new and exciting face of God to the world and one another!
We celebrate, promote and appreciate the differences within our community.
We may be different but we are all part of the Body of Christ. Jesus shows us how to reach out and care for those in need of compassion.
Because October is devoted to Mary we pray:
Full of grace,
The Lord is with you.
Blessed are you among women
and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, mother of God,
Pray for us sinners now
and at the hour of our death. Amen.
In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
