We sign ourselves in the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
We are so blessed to have many special Gospel stories that remind us of the goodness God calls each of us to live out in our lives.
Let us listen to the Gospel of Luke:
Jesus said to his disciples: "Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven; give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back."
The Gospel of the Lord,
[Response] Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.
Loving God it is not always easy to forgive. Help us to remember the words of this Gospel when we have been hurt by someone. Sometimes we need to pray so we do have the strength and courage to forgive. Sometimes it helps to talk over the situation so we can see a bigger picture of the situation.
Let us pray with the words that Jesus taught us:
Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done,
on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
