Greetings from the Regina Catholic School Division Board of Trustees!
With the hustle and bustle of September behind us, our three new schools, St. Elizabeth, St Kateri Tekawitha and St. Nicholas, are now officially opened and blessed by Archbishop Don Bolen. It has been a wonderful celebration for our school division, students, staffs and communities.
While September 30 is Orange Shirt Day in our province, Regina Catholic Schools will mark the day on Monday, October 2. We thank you for your thoughts and prayers as we work with students to increase awareness and understanding of the legacy of residential schools.
With Thanksgiving approaching on October 8th, we share with God our gratitude for His many blessings. We are so fortunate to have our freedom, our churches, and our schools. The gift of Catholic education is so essential for so many of our families. We pray that God continues to bestow upon all our families the blessings of faith, learning, and growth.
There are many exciting events coming up in our schools. Please check your child’s school calendar.
Some dates to be mindful of include:
October 5 – Teacher Professional Day for Elementary students
October 6 – Teachers’ Institute – Elementary and High School students
October 9 – Thanksgiving Monday
We wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend with family and friends.
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his love endures forever.”
