Student Placement Requests
Soon we will be starting to place the students into classes for the next school year. Assigning students to specific classrooms is a joint process involving classroom teachers, learning resource teachers and administration. There are a number of factors that are considered when student placements are determined. They include the following:
- the number of students per grade
- gender and age of the student
- academic needs and work habits
- social/emotional aspects
- peer relationships
Using our professional judgment, the staff team makes the best decisions possible for all students involved. We do however appreciate being made aware of specific student needs and concerns that you may have. We cannot guarantee or promise anything but be assured that we will take everything into consideration. The information that you share is confidential. Please forward information that needs to be considered by email to me at firstname.lastname@example.org before Friday, June 2, 2017. Student placements will not be published until students return in the fall as student numbers often change over the summer.
