In the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Today is the feast day of St. Bernadette of Lourdes patroness of our own St. Bernadette's elementary school here in Regina Catholic and patroness of illness, people teased for their faith, poverty, shepherds, shepherdesses, and Lourdes, France.  Bernadette, a simple poor girl of fragile health, had several encounters with a woman in blue and white, Jesus' mother Mary, and despite the disbelief of many around her was able to persevere and build a community of faith and healing in Lourdes and France.  Today many people come to seek healing in the waters of Lourdes and miracle healings do occur.

God's love is everywhere and like Bernadette we need to reverence all the works of God.

Please respond: Reverence, flow through us.

Make our hearts full of thanks for Your love … [response … Reverence, flow through us.]

Make our learning full of joy … [response … Reverence, flow through us.]

Help our minds grow in understanding … [response … Reverence, flow through us.]

Touch our souls with compassion … [response … Reverence, flow through us.]

Guide our feet to walk in Your ways … [response …Reverence, flow through us.]

Help our hands help create a loving world … [response … Reverence, flow through us.]

Jesus always showed reverence and respect for others.

God of the Journey,

Teach us to walk in wisdom during this Easter season.

Together today with our Christian Orthodox Churches we remember and celebrate with renewed joy the ever-new Easter Love of God and the Resurrection of Jesus and our share in their Holy Spirit of life!

Seeking Bernadette's prayer we close our prayer today:

Glory be to the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit: As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end.
