Good morning ___school name____.

Wherever you are at the building, please stand up for Jesus and join me in the sign of our faith. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen

This is National Volunteer Week.

National Volunteer week is an opportunity to thank all the thousands of volunteers across Canada who keep many organizations running, communities' safe and provide services that would not exist without volunteers.

It's also a time for us to think about how we could spend time doing  something to help others.

Maybe you could be a volunteer at your school…helping run safe cross-walks, helping your school librarian, --list other options to volunteer here--__________________________________________________________________

Some of you might be interested in volunteering at different sporting events – being scorekeepers, or helping the coaches run practices.

There are also many ways you can volunteer at our churches – make the call and get involved. For those students and staff that are 17 years or older, you could volunteer by donating blood and saving someone's life…what a great gift that would be!

Things are very different these days because of COVID, but today, take some time to think about how you can consider volunteering and helping others.

Let us pray,

We thank you Lord for all the people who have made time to volunteer in our schools and out in the community. Jesus taught us that we are to "serve" others.

Give us the desire to want to help others and to volunteer by helping in whatever ways we can.

In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
