April 22

Elementary:

We begin our prayer in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Happy Easter!

Yes, it is still Easter even the world around us is full of the Resurrection as creation pushes past the winter cold to spring into life. Today is the 50th anniversary of Earth Day whose mission is to build a worldwide environmentalist movement to seeking the good for people and planet.

In the beauty of the earth, we can see a reflection of the beauty of God.

Let's pray:

Lord

Open our eyes and

Open our ears,

To the joy of flowers dancing in the April sun;

The strength of a blade of grass pushing through hard earth;

The stillness of a prairie lake reflecting a full moon;

The insistent chirping of baby birds yearning to live…

And to fly …

Let us continue to tell one another about this good news in many ways.

By sharing Jesus' story,

By putting our kind words into loving practice,

By letting Jesus' love guide our decisions.

We close by praying:

Glory be to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

 Also we again bring before you Risen Jesus all those affected by the Covid-19 virus. May we work together bringing hope and healing in these times of fear and despair. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

High School:

We begin our prayer in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Happy Easter!

Yes, it is still Easter even the world around us is full of the Resurrection as creation pushes past the winter cold to spring into life. Today celebrates the 50th anniversary of Earth Day whose mission is to build the world's largest environmental movement to drive transformative change for people and planet.

In the beauty of the earth, we can see a reflection of the beauty of God.

Let's pray:

Open our eyes,

Open our ears,

To the lesson of creation so that we may learn:

The joy of daffodils dancing in the April sun;

The strength of a blade of grass pushing through asphalt;

The stillness of a prairie lake reflecting a full moon;

The insistence of young robins yearning to live;

And to fly …

The persistence of waves washing

against the stone beach;

The grace of a hawk wheeling on an updraft;

The balance of growing shoots and

falling leaves;

The peace of soft rain on lilacs.

God grant us the wisdom of forests and fields.

Our deepest fear of death has been overcome again and again

We turn to the join followers of Jesus to tell them the good news

Of the journey.

We support one another with this good news in many ways.

By telling one another our Lenten and Easter stories,

By putting our kind words into loving practice,

By letting Jesus guide our decisions.

We close by praying:

Glory be to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Again we bring before you Risen Jesus all those affected by the Covid-19 virus. May we work together bringing hope and healing in these times of fear and despair. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
