We begin our prayer in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Easter helps us recognize that all is light in God's love and that evil or selfish things are the absence of light and love.
As people of the Resurrection, we pray:
Light and Truth,
thank you for giving us
minds that can know
and hearts that can love.
Help us to keep learning every day of our lives,
for all knowledge leads to you.
Let us be aware of your presence
in all things and at all times.
Encourage us when work is difficult
and when we are tempted to give up;
encourage us when our brains seem slow and the way forward is difficult.
Grant us the grace to put our minds to use
exploring the world you have created,
confident that in You, there is wisdom
that is real.
The work of our faith is ongoing as is the work of our daily lives. This Memorial Workers Day we pray for all who have died in their labours and their kin.
We close by praying:
Glory be to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit
As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
