Elementary:

We begin our prayer in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

In the Gospel, Jesus says "Peace be with you" three times. Jesus wants us to believe but also wants us to live in peace. We will use Jesus' response in our prayer today.

After the part in the prayer that goes, "Jesus says…."  You say: "Peace be with you."

When our hearts are troubled, Jesus says: …"Peace be with you."

When we remember those who have died, Jesus says: …"Peace be with you."

When we look at the troubles in our community and around the world, Jesus says …"Peace be with you."

When we look to the future it seems a little scary, Jesus says: …"Peace be with you."

And we pray:

Loving Jesus, may we always be aware of Your love in our lives.

Help us believe You are living within each of us, in our friends and even our enemies.

Enable us to build up our Catholic faith communities by looking for Jesus in everyone.

We pray in Jesus' name. Amen.

We continue our Lenten day in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Amen.

Help us believe You are living within each of us, in our friends and even our enemies.

Enable us to build up our Catholic faith communities by looking for Jesus in everyone.

God of love, may you take away all our doubts and may your peace be ours, now and always.

We close by praying:

Glory be to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit

As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

We continue our Lenten day in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Amen.
