We begin our prayer in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
In this Easter time we remember all people who rejoiced in the power of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Faith in Jesus brings more than simple physical healing. It seems fitting them that this month is also Daffodil month for the Canadian Cancer Society, so we keep in our prayers all those whose lives have been touched by cancer as well prying for graces for those researching treatments and cures for the disease.
All of us seek life in the fullest. In this prayer, St. Patrick recalls the joy of a life-giving God who is always with us.
I bind to myself today
The power of God to hold and lead,
God's eye to watch,
God's might to protect,
God's ear to hear my need.
The wisdom of my God to teach,
God's hand to guide,
God's shield as my protector;
The word of God to give me wise speech,
God's heavenly host to be my guard.
Let us pray today for Orthodox Christian Churches celebrating today their Palm Sunday and so we remember that God's love and the power of the Resurrection ca be celebrated anytime and any place.
We close by praying Glory be to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen.
