Regina Catholic School Division
December 8

We begin our week in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Today is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Catholics recognize our Blessed Mother's special place in God's plans. We believe that she was born without sin. This is called the Immaculate Conception. Mary was one who trusted and hoped in God's love for her and all of us.

Like Mary, with God's grace, we never give up on hope and love.  We will keep a positive attitude and look for the brighter side of situations in everything we do.

May we reflect the light of Christ as we go about our day today.

May we shine with hope

Casting light where there is fear and worry.

God of hope,

Through love you brought Mary into the world as a sign of purity

May we respond to the pure loving light of Christ

by living in your love.

Mary, mother of our Lord, today we celebrate your Immaculate Conception. By God's grace you were conceived without sin and so you were able to give birth to the sinless Son of God. Hail Mary, pray for us this Advent season and always. Amen.

Let us pray the "Hail Mary":

 Hail Mary, full of grace,

The Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou among women and blest is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, mother of God,

Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

We continue our day with Mother Mary in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.  Amen
