Elementary:

We become attentive to God all around us as we pray in the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

This week is National Eating Disorder Awareness Week and we pray for people struggling with eating disorders which effect body, mind and soul.  Just as we need good food for our bodies, we need good food for our minds, hearts and souls.

To feed our minds, hearts and souls Jesus invites us to be creative in finding new ways of sharing God's life giving love.  Let's use our gifts for the good of all people as well as ourselves as we feed our body, minds and souls in healthy ways.

Reflect on this question:  What can I do today for my class or school that will make it a better place?

Today we also can remember St Agatha, a beautiful young lady who kept her faith in the face of many who wanted her to leave her "God". She is patron saint of breast cancer, against fire, and more.

Let's pray:

Please respond: Guide us God,

When we are afraid … Guide us God,

When we need help… Guide us God,

When we are lonely … Guide us God,

When we need to make a choice … Guide us God,

When we can't make up our minds When we are angry … Guide us God,

When others are angry with us … Guide us God,

When we can help others … Guide us God,

When we need your wisdom … Guide us God,

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change: courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference.

As today is also Chinese New Year with its symbols of good luck and wealth, colours of red and orange and good food.  We pray for our Chinese community.

Together with St. Agatha we move continue our day in the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
