In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen

Squeeze your eyes tightly shut for ten seconds. When you open them, it can be hard for your eyes to adjust to what's in front of you. But everything is there once your eyes get used to the light once again.

God is the same way. We can't physically see God, but we know He's present because of the amazing things He does for us every day. We can see God's actions in our world!

Think of the beautiful smile that someone gives you. The beautiful white snow that falls in the winter and makes everything look so wonderful. The stunning sunsets, sunrises, and northern lights we have in Saskatchewan; the awesome people standing around you at work and school - all these things of beauty are the works of our Creator God.

And so today we pray together by saying:

Thank you for our healthy bodies, Lord Jesus.

Thank you for our eyes to see the beauty all around us.

Thank you for our ears so we can hear the wind and the laughter of our friends and families.

Thank you for my sense of smell and taste so I can really enjoy popcorn and pizza and homemade bread!

Thank you God, for the wonderful feeling I get when I hug my friends and family.

Help us to see you Lord God in all the beauty around us and help us give thanks for all Your goodness.

Yesterday marked the feast of the Baptism of the Lord Jesus who affirmed his solidarity with us humans – we are never alone, and we are linked to God thought the love of Jesus. That feast also marked the end of the Christmas season and we now move into a time of reflecting on our mission as Christian believers

In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen
