Elementary:
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Let us pray:
God,
Bless our schools and communities
as places of friendship
as places of belonging
and as places of welcome
where everyone feels safe
where everyone has a place
where all are united in You, dear God.
As members of one family in Jesus we continue our day in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
High School:
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
In Mark's gospel today, Jesus says that whoever does the will of my Father is my brother, sister and mother (Mark 3:31-35).
We need to reflect on what it means to be cooperative contributors to our communities. This means, that we are helpful in our homes, friendships, classrooms, teams, and with other groups working for worthy causes.
Let us pray:
God, your Gospel of Life calls us to work
in communion with one another
as we help build Your Kingdom.
Lord, help us to find meaning and dignity in the works we do.
Let us work to build Your Kingdom.
God, author of the Gospel of Life and Light,
you call us to respect the rights of all.
Let us work to build your Kingdom.
God of harmony and unity,
Who calls us to work together to build your kingdom.
Open our ears to hear your voice clearly
Open our eyes to see your beauty in all
Open our minds so our understanding
may break down walls of fear and prejudice.
Bless our schools and communities
as places of friendship
as places of belonging
and as places of welcome
where everyone feels safe
where everyone has a place
where all are united in You, dear God.
As members of one family in Jesus we continue our day in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
