In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen

There is much to consider today.

Today is the memorial of St. Angela Merici. When Angela was 20 years-old, she began to teach many young girls who had no education and no hope. She opened her home to them and taught them all about Jesus and our Catholic faith. We thank God today for

St. Angela and we pray that the staff and students at St. Angela School in northwest Regina have an awe-filled day.

Today is also Family Literacy Day. We all know how important it is to learn how to read. Family Literacy Day encourages parents, grandparents, and other family members to spend time reading and writing together so everyone's skills improve.

Today we pray: Heavenly Father, thank you for our families. May our parents and grandparents encourage us to sit together to read. We give thanks for our school libraries and pray we make time to take out some interesting books to read so we can all become stronger readers.

Thank-you Lord for all the blessings in our lives as this day we remember all the horrors of the Holocaust this Holocaust Remembrance Day of what can happen when we lose sight of you and we forget the past.

St. Angela. Pray for us.

All holy men and women. Pray for us.

In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen
