Good morning ___school name____.

Wherever you are at HOME, please stand up for Jesus and join me in the sign of our faith. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen

While we were away on Christmas holidays, our church celebrated a very important Feast day: The Feast of the Holy Family: Jesus, Mary, and Joseph.

The main purpose of this Feast Day is to present Jesus' family as the model for all Christian families. The best way to do this is by making Jesus the center of our family.  We can do this by praying together, going to church together to receive Holy Communion, and simply by being kind to one another because we are all children of God.

We know that Jesus, Mary and Joseph, went through struggles, just like we sometimes do!  Today, we give thanks for our families and look at how we can become closer. We know there will always be times where we do not agree, times when we take our anger out on each other, times when we simply want to be by ourselves. Our goal as Christians is to do our best at making our family a source of love, strength and comfort.

And so we pray,

Loving God, help us to be kind and loving, just like Jesus.

We give thanks for our family and friends and for our school family at – school name.

At the beginning of this New Year, may we be JOYFUL for all the blessings in our lives. We ask all our prayers in Jesus' name.

In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
