Elementary:

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Today we remember Saint Charles Lwanga and Companions, Ugandan martyrs, who came to follow Jesus and became models of faith for us to follow.

Think: how have you grown and changed this year?  Who helped you grow?

Have you helped others become better people too?

How has the pandemic made you feel about God, others and yourself?

Let us pray...

And we pray:

Lord God, protect us and keep us safe.  Teach us to be sincere and trustworthy.  Give us your courage and truth to share with all people.  Help us welcome, comfort and include everyone we meet.  In Jesus' name we prayer. Amen.

This National Indigenous History Month we pray for the Indigenous peoples of Canada, that we honour Indigenous heritage and celebrate Indigenous cultures. We prayerfully reflect on the gift present day First Nation, Métis and Inuit communities are to the world along with their hopes for the future for all peoples. We make our prayer in Jesus' name. Amen.

Let us conclude our prayer time with the words of the prophet Micah:

May we act justly, love tenderly and walk humbly with our God. (Micah 6:8)

We continue our day walking with all indigenous peoples as we reflect on the many faces of Creator God in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen

High School:

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

This past Sunday we celebrated the Ascension of the Lord when Jesus goes to heaven and promises his Holy Spirit to be with us forever.  Jesus is lifted up into heaven and we, in many ways, are lifted up through Jesus in our lives.

As our school year nears an end we reflect on how we have grown this year.  How have you risen to new heights? Who helped you? Who slowed you down? Jesus calls us to be honest – even in those times where it is difficult – so honestly have you become a better person this year?  Have you helped others become better people too?

In our prayer today, let us ask for guidance to be people of integrity and honesty who life others up.

Let us pray:

Lord God, protect us and keep us safe.  Teach us to be sincere and trustworthy.  Give us your courage and truth to share with all peoples.  Help us to welcome and include everyone we meet.

This month is National Indigenous History Month it is a time to acknowledge and pray for the Indigenous peoples of Canada, to honour Indigenous heritage and to celebrate Indigenous cultures. It is also an opportunity to reflect on the gifts of present day First Nation, Métis and Inuit communities, and their hopes for the future. On June 21 we will celebrate the heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding achievements of First Nations, Inuit and Métis!

Let us conclude our prayers with the words of the prophet Micah:

May we act justly, love tenderly and walk humbly with our God. (Micah 6:8)

We continue our day walking with all indigenous peoples as we reflect on the many faces of Creator God in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
