Good morning ___school name____.

Wherever you are at the building, please stand up for Jesus and join me in the sign of our faith. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen

Today, as I'm sure most of you are aware, is St. Patrick's Day.

When St. Patrick was a teenager, pirates kidnapped him from his home in Britain and brought him to Ireland to work as a slave. He later escaped, but returned to Ireland because he wanted to bring the LIGHT of CHRIST to all people. The life of St. Patrick is such an example to us still today, that even in the darkest of times, God shines over His people. This is because our GOD is a truly good and loving God.

St. Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland. St. Patrick's Day is a yearly celebration of Irish culture with parades, special foods, music, dancing, and a whole lot of green.

Perhaps the most well-known legend of St. Patrick is that he explained the Holy Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) using the three leaves of a native Irish clover, the shamrock. Today we will pray the St. Patrick's Prayer:

May the Strength of God pilot us.
May the Power of God preserve us.
May the Wisdom of God instruct us.
May the Hand of God protect us.
May the Way of God direct us.
May the Shield of God defend us.
May the Host of God guard us.
May Christ be with us!
May Christ be before us!
May Christ be in us,
Christ be over all!
This day, O Lord, and evermore. Amen.

In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen

Have a wonderful Wednesday and a fantastic St. Patrick's Day.
