Today we begin again in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Do you know someone well enough to know how they might act or speak?
God knows us. In Psalm 139:2 it says (paraphrased) "You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you see my thoughts from afar. … God knows our every thought, feeling, and idea, understands our every reason for our every choice."
This may sound scary but even though God knows all about us, good and bad, God loves us always and is with us and loving us at this very moment. This is the kind of love we need to practice with God's help.
Let us pray:
God, thank you for creating us and loving us
Help us to become the best people we can be
By loving you, others and ourselves.
We make our prayer in Jesus name
And continue our day in the love of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Today we pray in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Listen to the message of the Letter to the Hebrews (13:20-21)
Now may the God of peace, who brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, make you complete in everything good so that you may do his will, working among us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Lord our God, through the Holy Spirit give us unity with you.
Help us persevere to move onward again and again,
and help us grow in strength to follow what is true and good.
May your goodness and grace be in our hearts
helping us in all the every-day actions in our lives.
Through our lived lives
May our world learn that it does have a Redeemer
to the glory of your name. Amen.
We put the Lord's mission front and centre in our lives as we continue our day in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
