Good morning ___school name____.
Wherever you are at the building, please stand up for Jesus and join me in the sign of our faith. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
In a bible story in the Gospel of Mark, we hear these words:
"Then Jesus placed his hands on the man's eyes again, and his eyes were opened. His eyesight was completely restored, and he could see everything clearly."
WOW – can you imagine being blind and not being able to see ANYTHING? What your friends and family look like? Not being able to see the beautiful birds in the sky, the sun and the moon, being able to watch a favorite movie or sporting event? Today, we give thanks for our ability to see.
Jesus, my Lord and Savior, here I am.
Help me to see you, REALLY see you, even your eyes, and to hear your voice speaking words of peace.
I ask you this Lent, Lord God, to light a fresh fire in my heart so I have the desire to follow you more closely.
Thank you God for the gift of today and for all the blessings in our lives – especially for the gift of your Son, Jesus.
We ask all our prayers in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
