Elementary:
We begin our prayer in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Families are important all over the world. Today is the United Nations International Day of Families.
Let us pray for our families:
Jesus, help us make our families
at home, in school, in faith and in the world places full of:
praying
forgiving
peace
understanding
and loving.
May our families be the building blocks of our society:
Little communities of shelter and hope;
Little communities of understanding and wisdom;
Little communities of prayer and play.
We make our prayer in Jesus' name. Amen.
Mary, the Mother of God … pray for us.
We continue our day as one family here at (name of school) int eh name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
High School:
We begin our prayer in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
On this day, the we listen to a wise man's words:
Confucius, an ancient Chinese philosopher wrote:
To put the world right in order,
we must first put the nation in order;
to put the nation in order,
we must first put the family in order;
to put the family in order,
we must first cultivate our personal life;
we must first set our hearts right.
We set our hearts right in our families.
We have a responsibility to set our hearts right … but what does that mean?
Being family at home, in school, in faith and in the world means:
praying
forgiving
seeking peace
understanding
and loving.
May our families be the good building blocks of our society:
Little communities of refuge and hope;
Little communities of understanding and wisdom;
Little communities of prayer and play.
Mary, the Mother of God … pray for us.
Let us continue our day in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
