Elementary:

We begin in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

This week is Emergency Preparedness Week and Canadian Mental Health Week in Canada – so let us remember that to be prepared for crazy events in our life, like a pandemic, means we need to be ready to work together for the good and well being of all people not just ourselves.

Let us pray for good people to work together in faith, hope and love.

Let us pray:

Lord Jesus we need girls and boys:

Who speak the truth;

Who value their friends;

Who think before they act;

Who are not selfish;

Who will do what is right no matter what!

Our world needs people who can work together

towards the challenges of tomorrow.

Our world needs people of faith

who rely on their friend Jesus' wisdom.

Amen.

Mary, Mother of God, pray for us.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

High School:

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Today we remember St. François de Laval, a solid supporter of education and tireless model of faith who would travel by foot, canoe, or snowshoe to be with his people. Being there for one another is important. Coincidentally, this week is Emergency Preparedness Week in Canada – and we need to remember that to be prepared for crazy events, like we are experiencing right now in this pandemic, means we need to work together for the good of everyone and not just ourselves.

So let's pray for good people to work together in unity.

This week is also Canadian Mental Health week and we pray for all folks struggling with such issues and anxieties especially those dealing with experiences of covid-19.

In this Easter time we pray:

Our world needs men and women, girls and boys:

whose word is their true promise;

who put a solid character above wealth;

who possess opinions, a strong will and a sharp mind;

who will be as honest in all things;

who will make no compromises in living truth;

whose ambitions go beyond selfish desires to the good of all and our earth;

who will not mindlessly follow "because everybody else does it;"

who are true to their friends through good times and bad,

in hardship as well as in success;

who believe that hard work, faithfulness, honesty and responsibility

are the best qualities for winning success;

who are not ashamed or afraid to stand for the truth when it is unpopular;

who can confidently say "no", although all the rest of the world says "yes."

Our world needs people of one mind and heart to meet the challenges of tomorrow.

Our world needs people of faith who rely on their God's wisdom.

Amen.

Mary, Mother of God, pray for us.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
