November 2

Elementary:

Good morning ___school name____.

Wherever you are in the building, please stand up for Jesus and join me in the sign of our faith.

In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen

Today is November 2nd. It is the Feast of All Souls Day.

Today, and throughout the month of November, Christians pray for all those who are no longer with us and now living with God in the Kingdom of Heaven.

I'm sure many of you here today have experienced the death of a loved one. Maybe it was a family member, a grandparent or a good friend.

The death of a loved one can be a very difficult experience for us. We feel sad and lonely and sometimes may feel like it just isn't fair that our loved one died.

Our Catholic faith tells us that we are on a journey. Our journey here on earth means we are to work hard each day at being the best person we can be.

Kind and loving to all people; making God a priority in our lives.

And so ___ school name___, even though it is normal to feel sad and lonely when we think of our loved ones who are not with us any more, we remember that this isn't the end of the story….it is just "until we meet again".

Right now, I want you to take a moment to think about the people who you know have died. Let us remember the joy, laughter, and fun times we shared together. We thank God for the gift of life.

Jesus, give our loved ones a peaceful life with you and let your unending love hug them forever.

Your response to this is: "Pray for us."

St. Michael…. Pray for us.

St. Gabriel…. Pray for us.

St. Raphael…. Pray for us.

(Add…..your school saint………Pray for us.)

All holy men and women…. Pray for us.

We make our prayers in Jesus' name.

In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen
