In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Today is the Feast of St. Andrew, who was a disciple of St. John the Baptist. Andrew told his brother Simon Peter that he had found the Messiah and led him to Jesus. Andrew was among the Twelve Apostles Jesus chose for a special mission. The name Andrew means "brave" in Greek.   As we grow knowing Jesus our courage will grow and we will be brave enough to take Jesus' message with us wherever we go

Listen to this prayer:

Almighty God, who gave such grace to your apostle Andrew

that he readily obeyed the call of your Son Jesus Christ,

and brought his brother Peter with him:

Give to us, who are called by your Word,

grace to follow him without delay,

and to bring those near to us into his gracious presence,

who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

As we enter Advent we look to a time of a deeper experiences of Hope, Peace, Love and Joy

Come Lord Jesus!

We invite St. Andrew to be with us as we move into our day in the name of the Father, and of the son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
