October 10th

We sign ourselves in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy

We live very busy lives – so busy sometimes that we do not pay attention to the people around us who love us and to whom we are thankful for so many things like their love, our families and our schools.

Jesus tells us this story in the gospel of Luke (Luke 10:38-42)

Jesus Visits Martha and Mary

Now as they went on their way, he entered a certain village, where a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. She had a sister named Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet and listened to what he was saying. But Martha was distracted by her many tasks; so she came to him and asked, 'Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to do all the work by myself? Tell her then to help me.' But the Lord answered her, 'Martha, Martha, you are worried and distracted by many things; there is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part, which will not be taken away from her.'

The gospel of the Lord. Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.

Loving God

We thank you for the gifts of families, friends and our world.

May we create time to care for them all.

May we make time to share life with our loved ones.

May we have the courage to care no matter what others may say.

May we have the wisdom to live lives of service.

Hail Mary

Full of grace,

The Lord is with you.

Blessed are you among women

and Blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, mother of God,

Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
