October 2

Elementary:

We begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Today we remember our guardian angels given by God to each of us to protect.  Maybe take a moment today to name your guardian angel.

Today is also International Day of Non-Violence.  Jesus, help us be peacemakers with our guardian angels by our side!

We are all so different and yet the same. Let us celebrate different ways we can share our faith and our lives to make the world a better place.

Though different, we are all parts of Jesus' love.

Jesus, show us how to reach out and care for those in need through the gifts you have given us. Amen.

In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

High School:

We begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Today is the Memorial of Guardian Angels. May they always be present to protect and bless us.

Today is also International Day of Non-Violence. It is the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, leader of the Indian independence movement and an early promoter of non-violence. Jesus is our model and inspiration to find ways of dealing with one another in peaceful ways.  We ask Jesus to help us be peacemakers with our guardian angels by our side!

We are all so different. This October we celebrate the diversity of our faith meaning that each one of us shows a unique and exciting face of God to the world and one another!

We celebrate, promote and appreciate the differences within our community.

Though different, we are all parts of the Body of Christ.  Jesus shows us how to reach out and care for those in need of compassion.

Mary, pray for us to be more welcoming of people who are different:

Hail Mary

Full of grace,

The Lord is with you.

Blessed are you among women

and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, mother of God,

Pray for us sinners now

and at the hour of our death. Amen.

In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
