In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

In schools, personalities clash and fights happen between students.  Teachers step in and peace is brought about in many ways.  Our world is the same. Countries with different interests clash and fights occur.  Jesus calls us all to be peace makers (Matt 5)

The United Nations organization, and all who serve and participate in it, are dedicated to world peace and to the betterment of humanity through a wide range of programs from dealing with world hunger to environment and health issues.

Almost all countries in the world are members of this organization. In many ways, the United Nations lives out the values of compassion and service that Jesus taught even though many members are not Christian. We pray that the work of the healing of our world continues through the United Nations and the works of other good people of development and peace.

Let us pray:

God of unity and love,

Grant us a common faith though which all peoples shall be fed and find peace—that all peoples shall know dignity, justice and decency, freedom and security, and equal opportunities.

And in that faith let us march toward the better world our hands can make with your help God.

We pray in Jesus' name. Amen.

Let us close our prayer in this month dedicated to Mary by saying...

Hail Mary

Full of grace,

The Lord is with you.

Blessed are you among women

and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God,

Pray for us sinners now

and at the hour of our death. Amen.

In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
