Elementary:

Jesus guide us in love and teach us how to pray and to live in harmony with one another.

Jesus wants our love and kindness to be part of the practices of our everyday life and just like we practice for sports, music and many things that we need to work at to become better at them. Listen to these words taken from the Luke's Gospel (12:39-48)

… From everyone to whom much has been given, much will be required; and from one to whom much has been entrusted, even more will be demanded.

Or in the words of Uncle Ben from Spiderman: "With great power comes great responsibility," What? You thought Marvel Comics came up with this? 😊

Jesus is all around us whether we recognize him or not. He invites us to live lives of forgiveness, kindness and love.  The more we love, the more love comes to us – the more we hate, the more hate comes to us - this is a Golden Rule.

Lord help us to care for one another. Amen.

We continue our day in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, let's give each other a handshake of peace. Amen.

High School:

God of compassion,

You have created to love and you sent Jesus, your Son to teach us how to pray and to live in harmony with one another.

God wants our love and kindness to be part of the practices of our everyday life and just like we practice for sports, music and many things that we need to work at to become better at them. Listen to these words taken from the Luke's Gospel (12:39-48)

'But know this: if the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into. You also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an unexpected hour.'

God asks us to keep the faith always for when Jesus comes again.

And

… From everyone to whom much has been given, much will be required; and from one to whom much has been entrusted, even more will be demanded.

Or in the words of Uncle Ben from Spiderman: "With great power comes great responsibility," What? You thought Marvel or Stan Lee came up with this? 😊

Jesus and his truth are all around us always all the time – whether we recognize him or not. He invites us to live a life of forgiveness, compassion and love.  The more we love, the more love comes to us – the more we hate, the more hate comes to us. This is not something many think call Karma, but is the law of Love – the Golden Rule.

If we chose to ignore the gifts we have been given they will fade away – much like the way our skill for sports and games and being a musician fail if we do not practice.

Lord help us grow our physical and spiritual gifts to better serve one another. Amen.

We continue our day in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
