We pray in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
This week the United Nations celebrates Disarmament Week. We pray that all nations around the world will have the wisdom to stop using military weapons to hurt one another and that we can reach out in true friendship, reconciliation, and compassion to others. Maybe we need to stop fighting about who is "right" but about the best ways to bring life to each other and the earth.
Jesus has often been the cause of much division among people as God's truth often conflict with the sense of "truth" that we often use to get our way. We hear people say, "I need to speak my truth", what they are really saying is I need to share my experiences β what is truth for one is, by definition, truth for all. If not, it is opinion or experience. We need to pray for insight and wisdom to recognize the difference between the two and to find Jesus who is the way the truth and the life. (John 14:6)
Let us pray for wisdom and peace:
Peace be with you, our brothers and sisters
Peace be with you in heart and head
Peace be with you to calm your days
Peace be with you to smooth your ways
Peace be with you when you walk
Peace be with you when you talk
Peace be with you when you learn
Peace be with you when you earn
Peace be with you now
Peace be with you always
Amen
Let us pray to the Queen of Peace, Maryβ¦
Hail Mary, Full of grace, The Lord is with you
Blessed are you among women
and Blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, mother of God,
Pray for us sinners now
and at the hour of our death. Amen.
In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
