Elementary:
We begin our prayer time in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
This week the United Nations celebrates Disarmament Week. We pray that all nations around the world using military weapons to hurt one another and that we can reach out in true friendship and healing to others.
Jesus has caused arguing among people as God's truth seems to conflict with our sense of right and wrong – usually right for us means getting our way. We need to pray to grow in our ability to tell the difference between God's love and our own selfishness.
Let us pray to become peaceful and wise:
Peace be with you, our brothers and sisters
Peace be with you in heart and head
Peace be with you to calm your days
Peace be with you to smooth your ways
Peace be with you when you walk
Peace be with you when you talk
Peace be with you when you learn
Peace be with you when you earn
Peace be with you now
Peace be with you always
Amen.
Let us pray to the Queen of Peace, Mary…
Hail Mary, Full of grace, The Lord is with you
Blessed are you among women
and Blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, mother of God,
Pray for us sinners now
and at the hour of our death. Amen.
In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
