Elementary:

We begin the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Yesterday was the feast of two saints who loved God very much.  St. Cornelius and Cyprian took their story of Jesus wherever they went to whomever they met. We must be ready to show our love for Jesus in many ways.

Being faithful requires courage to admit we need God. Being faithful means we see God in all places in creation.

Let us pray this adapted Prayer of St Thomas More:

O Lord,

give us a mind that is quiet and peaceful,

patient and loving,

and a taste of your Holy Spirit

in all our thoughts, words and deeds.

O Lord,

give us a lively faith, a firm hope,

a heart of caring and a love of you.

Take from us all dullness in prayer.

Give us joy and delight in thinking of you,

your grace, and your tender compassion toward us.

Give us, good Lord,

the grace to work for the things we pray for.

Amen.

In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

High School:

We begin the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Yesterday was the feast of two saints who loved God very much.  St. Cornelius and Cyprian are models of courage and flexibility in responding to God's call to live the Gospel values.

Being faithful requires courage to admit we need God. Let us pray:

The Prayer of St Thomas More

O Lord,

give us a mind that is humble, quiet, peaceable,

patient and charitable,

and a taste of your Holy Spirit

in all our thoughts, words and deeds.

O Lord,

give us a lively faith, a firm hope, a fervent charity,

a love of you.

Take from us all lukewarmness in meditation,

and all dullness in prayer.

Give us joy and delight in thinking of you,

your grace, and your tender compassion toward us.

Give us, good Lord,

the grace to work for

the things we pray for.

Amen.

In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
