Elementary:

We begin our prayer time in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

In Luke gospel (9:1-6) Jesus sends his 12 disciples out into the world. He gives them a mission to act and speak on his behalf because they had come to know him.

We must share God's love through our words and actions and heal one another and our world. We can help heal broken bodies as well as broken hearts – or not. The choice is ours. In caring for each other and our world we come to know God.

So, we pray:

Our Father,

Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done,

on earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those

who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

We close our prayer in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen

High School:

We begin our prayer time in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

In Luke gospel (9:1-6) we see the mission of the Twelve: "Then Jesus called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal. "

We proclaim God's love in our words and actions like when we become compassionate healers. We can heal relationships or break them down. We can help heal broken bodies as well as broken hearts – or not. The choice is ours but through healing, we can know God and Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit.

So we pray: Jesus help us to spread your Good News through our healing actions. May our choices be anchors of hope and justice for all peoples.

For strength, we pray in Jesus words:

Our Father,

Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done,

on earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those

who trespass against us.
and lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

We close our prayer in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
