Elementary:

We begin our prayer time in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

In Luke gospel (9:1-6) we see Jesus sending his 12 disciples out into the world. He gives them a mission and authority to act and speak on his behalf.

All of us are called to share God’s love in our words and actions and to heal one another and our world. We can help heal broken bodies as well as broken hearts – or not. The choice is ours.

So, we pray:

Jesus help us to spread your Good News through our healing actions. May our choices be anchors of hope and peace for all people.

For strength we pray in the words Jesus taught us:

Our Father,
Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done,
on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

We close our prayer in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen .

High School:

We begin our prayer time in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

In Luke's gospel (9:1-6), we see the mission of the Twelve: "Then Jesus called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal."

All of us are called to proclaim God's love in our words and actions and to heal. We can heal relationships or break them down. We can help heal broken bodies as well as broken hearts – or not. The choice is ours.

So we pray: Jesus help us to spread your Good News through our healing actions. May our choices be anchors of hope and justice for all people.

For strength we pray in Jesus words:

Our Father,

Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done,

on earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those

who trespass against us.
and lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

We close our prayer in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
