Elementary:

We continue our year in prayer by signing ourselves in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Earlier this month was the Feast day of Saint Teresa of Calcutta, better known as Mother Teresa. Mother Teresa Middle School here is Regina has her name.  We remember her courage and kindness in working with the poor and sick on the streets of India. May we too never be afraid to care for anyone.

Mother Teresa was a very courageous and kind person. How might one act of kindness today lead to more kindness from others? [pause]

As we reflect on the work of Mother Teresa, we ask God to bless us with kindness as we make new friends and learn together.  Thank You, God, for this school year.  Amen.

Let us pray with the words that Jesus taught us:

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done,

on earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those

who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

We close our prayer in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

High School:

We continue our year in prayer by signing ourselves in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Earlier this month, September 5th was the Feast day of Saint Teresa of Calcutta, better known as Mother Teresa. She is the patroness of Mother Teresa Middle School here is Regina.  We remember her courage and kindness in working with the poor and sick on the streets of India.

Mother Teresa was a very courageous and kind woman. Sometimes it takes courage to be kind. Sophocles, an ancient Greek playwright, wrote, "Kindness gives birth to kindness."  Sounds like another "golden rule". How might one act of kindness lead to more kindness from others? [pause]

As we reflect on the work of Mother Teresa, we ask God to bless us as we make new friends and learn together.  Thank You, God, for this school year.  Amen.

Let us pray with the words that Jesus taught us:
