Monday, September 25
We again begin our prayer by signing ourselves in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
We read I Luke's gospel (8:16-18)
'No one after lighting a lamp hides it under a jar, or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a lampstand, so that those who enter may see the light. For nothing is hidden that will not be disclosed, nor is anything secret that will not become known and come to light. Then pay attention to how you listen; for to those who have, more will be given; and from those who do not have, even what they seem to have will be taken away.'
Let us pray with the words that Jesus taught us:
The Gospel of the Lord
Praise to You Lord Jesus Christ
Lord help us to show what we believe in our words and actions and never try to hide who we are as the loved children of God.
Let us pray in the word our brother Jesus taught us:
Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done,
on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.
We close our prayer in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
