We sign ourselves in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
The prophet Ezekiel wrote these words:
You say, "The Lord's way is not fair!" Hear now, house of Israel: Is it my way that is unfair, or rather, are not your ways unfair?"
These readings speak to us about fairness. There are things we can control and things we cannot. Take some time today to talk about what fairness looks like in your classroom and in the world. Are love and fairness the same thing?
May God bless us with strength to seek justice.
May God bless us with the courage to ask for forgiveness.
May God bless us with wisdom to care for our earth.
May God bless us with love to bring forth new life.
In the name of God, the maker of the whole world, of Jesus, our new covenant, and of the Holy Spirit who opens eyes and hearts.
For our Lady's guiding embrace:
Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
We close our prayer in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
