Greetings from the Regina Catholic School Division Board of Trustees!
We are now in the season of Lent, and we look forward to journeying with all our students and families toward the miracle of Easter and the Resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
"Lent is a time of grace, a time for recognizing that our lowly ashes are loved by God and for letting God gaze upon us with love, and in this way change our lives. We were put in this world to go from ashes to life."
Pope Francis, @Pontefix
It has been a busy start to 2020, and we continue to pray for success in all our schools. Thank you to everyone who took time in February to let their teachers and school staff know how much they are appreciated. These small moments mean so much to our staff. March brings an opportunity for many of you to visit with them in person at Student Involved Conferences. We are also excited to hear the progress of our band students at the Annual Band Days this month.
We continue to wait for news about the Theodore case appeal. Until we have new information, you can read more about the case and our appreciation for the gift of publicly funded Catholic education at opencatholiceducation.ca.
We have a day of no school for students this month. March 20 is a day of work for all our teachers, but students will stay home. Thank you for staying engaged in your child's education.
