Welcome! Bienvenue!
Signing out a Book during COVID-19
Hours of Operation:
8:00AM-4:00PM
Resource Centre Staff
Mr. G. Hammond - Teacher Librarian
Mrs. M. O'Byrne - Library Assistant
Students have access to books, magazines, reference materials, newspapers, headphones and audio/video equipment as well as on-line databases found on the Regina Catholic Schools' home page. Computers are available for library and internet searches and word processing. Students are issued a library card in early fall. Students are asked to keep their library cards at school for easy accessibility.
Database Access from Home
Here are some instructions for accessing databases at home from a desktop:
On a desktop go to http://external.edonline.sk.ca/public/listing.html
Login is at the top. Username=firstname.lastname
This will be your name as listed on your birth certificate.
Password=birthday, as a four digit number. MMDD (month day). So May 23 is 0523.
Once logged in, you will have to come back here and click on the link again. Then select All Licensed Resources on the left, and the databases will be listed alphabetically. There is no database called ProQuest on the list, but most students are looking for Canadian Major Dailies. You can't access all our databases this way (some Gale are missing, but most of them are there).
The missing databases (the Gale In-Context series) can be accessed at home from any internet browser, but you will need a password to access them. See Mr. Hammond, or send him an email, for the password.
