Robotics and Woodworking
In the robotics unit, students will learn a programming language called BASIC that will enable them to create instructions that will result in a series of movements. Students will begin by learning simple tasks, such as breadboarding electronic components, and eventually will acquire the ability to program their robot to dance and then navigate through a townsite. In the woodworking unit, students will learn to use hand tools and stationary power tools. These skills will allow them to construct a birdhouse and to design and make a CNC routered wood sign.
