List of entrance scholarships for University of Regina for which application is required.

Scholarships include (but are not limited to):

Eligibility for these scholarships is based on your admission average - no application is required.

UR Circle of Scholars Entrance Scholarship $20,000 ($5,000 X 4 years)

Centennial Merit Plus Scholarship $3,000 (95+ Early Conditional Average)

Centennial Merit Scholarship $1500 (93-94.99% Early Conditional Average)

Merit Scholarship $1000 (90-92.99% Early Conditional Average)

University of Regina Out of Province Entrance Scholarship $1,500

New Frontier Scholarships $1,500


The University of Regina offers the Centennial Merit Scholarships of $2000, 

​to all students who have earned between 90.0% and 94.99% based on a predetermined set of courses at the grade 11 or grade 12 level. The Centennial Merit Plus Scholarship of $3000 is granted for an average of 95% or over based on the same courses. For more information visit the U of R Awards Page. Please note that this is an automatic scholarship. Students do not need to apply for it. 

The University of Regina General Entrance Awards 

​March 15th is the deadline for 30 scholarships totally $40,000. The criteria for these awards vary. Students can browse through these scholarships on the U of R website. Scholarships application is available through SAMS (Student Awards Management System). ​

Institut Francais of the University of Regina  $5,000 disbursed in two payments of $2,500 Deadline June 15

  • be accepted as a fully-qualified graduate student pursuing either a Master of Arts in French or a Master of Education examining education in French
  • minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 80%
  • must be registered full-time in the semester that the scholarship is paid


University of Regina (Campion College)  

First-year students who have been admitted to the University of Regina and have selected to enrol through Campion College by May 15 for the following Fall semester are automatically eligible for the following entrance scholarships. (Students must register in a minimum of 12 credit hours.). A listing of awards and scholarships is available online.

SaskPolytechnic offers student awards for every certificate and diploma program at every  SaskPolytechnic campus. You don't have to be a brainiac to receive a student award. Not all student awards are based on marks - some are based on financial need or things like community or volunteer involvement information can be found on the SaskPolytechnic Scholarships webpage. 

SaskPolytechnic has 6 application periods each year:

High school students enrolling in SaskPolytechnic programs, are eligible to start applying on June 1. ​

Canadian Hospitality Foundation Scholarships May 31

  • - approximately $200,000 in scholarships for students wishing to pursue a career in the hospitality, food service and tourism industry across Canada annually.


 Farm Credit Canada Aboriginal Student Empowerment Fund

  • Aboriginal Ancestry
  • up to $1,000 per applicant 
  • -enrolled at Saskatchewan Polytechnic in Regina or Moose Jaw in one of the following programs: Business - Year 1 or 2; Computer Networking Technician; New Media Communications - Year 1 or 2; Office Administration


Myrna Firman Memorial Bursary Application March 31, 2 - $500

  • enrolled in the Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada program at Saskatchewan Polytechnic in Saskatoon
  • have immigrant or refugee status in Canada
  • not currently in receipt of government sponsorship funding (e.g. church sponsored, privately sponsored or no longer receiving government sponsorship funds)


Princess Auto Foundation Emergency Bursary

  • enrolled full-time in a Saskatchewan Polytechnic program of study of 20 weeks or greater, or an apprenticeship program, or a School of Academic and Career Education program at any Saskatchewan Polytechnic campus and have an urgent and temporary financial need
  • students are eligible for a cumulative maximum total of $2,500 in non-repayable emergency bursaries in an academic year



University of Saskatchewan Guaranteed Entrance Scholarships 

  • 95% or greater - $3,000, 
  • 93% to 94.9% - $2,000, 
  • 90% to 92.9% - $1,000, 
  • 85% to 89.9% - $500. 

University applications and marks must be submitted by February 15th in order to receive this automatic scholarship. More information on mark calculations is available on the U of S website.

  • George and Marsha Ivany President's First & Best $24,000 ($6,000 over 4 years, provided criteria are met)
  • Chancellors' Scholarships $20,000 ($5,000 over 4 years)
  • U of S Entrance Scholarships $16,200 ($4,200 in first year and $4,000 for three additional years)
  • Edwards Undergraduate Scholarships $24,000 ($6,000/year over 4 years, provided renewal criteria are met)
  • College of Agriculture and Bioresources Renewable Entrance Scholarships $10,000 ($2,500/year over 4 years provided renewal criteria are met)


Competitive Entrance Scholarships

  • based on: academic achievement, financial need, and/or contributions to school and community life.

These awards also recognize particular backgrounds, acknowledge contributions to certain clubs, and reward achievement in music or athletics


Guaranteed Entrance Scholarships

No separate application is required to be considered for a Guaranteed Entrance Scholarship!

You will automatically be considered when you apply for admission, pay the application fee and submit your grades and other documents necessary to be considered for admission.



St. Thomas More College - University of Saskatchewan

  • a student must be a self declared St. Thomas More College student
  • a student must be registered for six credit units of coursework through St. Thomas More College
  • a student must be registered in at least 18 credit units of coursework in his or her first year (9 credit units per term)

Academic Merit Admission Awards 

  • Students will be automatically considered for these awards based on their early admission average from their admission application, with the offer being conditional on their final admission average. No separate application is required.

  • In addition they will receive a backpack, a guaranteed spot in residence and a chance to win tuition free for one year

  • 50 scholarships of $500 for Advanced Placement Scholars based on AP final marks

  • 50 scholarships from $7,500 to $25,000, based on grade 10, 11 and 12 final and interim grades of 95%+

  • 100 awards of $1,000 to $10,000 based on 80%+ and demonstrated leadership skills in the community or extracurricular activities 


Major Entrance Scholarships 

  • excel across the board and who have demonstrated academic and leadership achievements in the arts, community, athletics, and school
  • one-time awards of at least $5,000 and renewable awards of up to $40,000 payable over four years
  • must be nominated by school
