Greetings from the Regina Catholic School Division Board of Trustees!
Welcome to the final month of the school year! We know June is coming, but every year, this month and all the many activities it brings always seems to surprise us.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid. John 14:27
We are working hard at finalizing the budget for the 2018-2019 school year, which will be approved by June 30. Administration is also working hard to arrange for staffing for next year. If you know your child or children will be moving to a new school for next year, please let your current school staff know as soon as possible to keep our arrangements accurate and timely.
Of course, while we put so much effort into next year, we are still wrapping up the 2017-2018 school year. Final concerts and performances are scheduled, track and field is well underway, and our high school students are preparing for their course finalizations. We are also working to keep all student transitions as smooth as possible. From the little ones beginning kindergarten this fall, to grade eights preparing to move to high school, and to our graduates who will leave Regina Catholic Schools for their new adventures, we aim to provide all the necessary supports.
To all the families who will leave us after this year, including our grade 12 graduates and their families, thank you for choosing Catholic education, and may God bless you on your journeys.
There is no freedom greater than letting yourself be guided by the Holy Spirit and allowing Him to lead you wherever he wishes. ~ Pope Francis
Elementary students will get a day off on June 14 while teachers work in the classroom; and our high school students have a day off after finals on June 26. The last day of school for all students is June 28. Please remember that dismissal is one hour early on that last day.
