Crown Corporations and Union Scholarships
Please note when applying for scholarships, that deadlines are non-negotiable. If transcripts or references are required, be aware that it takes time for others to process your requests. Also be aware that if you must mail documents, it will likely take 2 or 3 days for your application to reach its destination.

Note: Many Scholarships have not yet been announced for the school year. Scholarships whose deadlines have passed or have not had current contact with the school will be kept on our web site for reference. Please keep checking this page for updates or do a Google search using the scholarship name.

Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers - CFIG offers a variety of scholarships to current CFIG member (retail, associate, affiliate) or be a family member of an employee of a current CFIG member. A 1000 word essay is required based on the following topic: Given all of the consolidation that has taken place in the grocery industry, what are some of the strategic changes the independent or franchised grocer will need to implement to remain successful? Application deadline is May .

National Union of Public and General Employees 2014 Scholarships (4 x $1500)  - Each year, the National Union of Public and General Employees (NUPGE) offers four scholarships that reflect its pursuit of equal opportunity for all workers. They are open to the children of the National Union’s 340,000 members who are starting a post-secondary education. Application deadline for all scholarships is in July.

Regina Catholic School's Education Support Professionals' Association -
provides 2 scholarships in the amount of $200.00 to students of support staff
members. Application deadline is June 14, 2015. See a guidance counsellor for application forms.

RCSTA - Regina Catholic Schools Teachers' Association - provides a
scholarship in the amount of $1000.00 to a graduating child of an RCSTA member.  Application packages are available in Student Services. Deadline for applications and supporting documents is May annually. Be sure to get all supporting documents from a Guidance Counsellor.

SaskTel Scholarships (7 awards of $3000) - Every year, SaskTel awards 7 scholarships of $3,000 to students attending post-secondary institutions in Saskatchewan who are studying in a field directly related to information and communications technology. Application deadline is in March.

SaskTel - Gord Kuhn Scholarship ($3000) - offered in honour of Gord Kuhn, a long time employee of SaskTel. This scholarship will be awarded to a current SaskTel employee (or immediate family member of a SaskTel employee) attending a post-secondary institution in Saskatchewan studying in a field directly related to telecommunications. Application deadline is in March.

SGEU Scholarships (over $60,000 in awards) - available to members and their children. Application deadline is in July.

SGI Anniversary Scholarship (4 awards of $2500) - to be eligible, a student must be a child/legal dependant of an employee of SGI or its wholly-owned subsidiaries. Application deadline is September 30th annually.

SGI Corporate Scholarship (4 awards of $2500) - This is open to students in a certificate, diploma or degree program related to SGI business needs in Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario. Application deadline is September 30th annually.
