Trades Scholarships
Please note when applying for scholarships, that deadlines are non-negotiable. If transcripts or references are required, be aware that it takes time for others to process your requests. Also be aware that if you must mail documents, it will likely take 2 or 3 days for your application to reach its destination.

Note: Many Scholarships have not yet been announced for the school year. Scholarships whose deadlines have passed or have not had current contact with the school will be kept on our web site for reference. Please keep checking this page for updates or do a Google search using the scholarship name.

Apprenticeship Incentive Grant - registered apprentices who have successfully finished their first or second year/level (or equivalent) in one of the Red Seal trades can apply for the Apprenticeship Incentive Grant (AIG), which is a taxable cash grant of $1000.00 per year/level up to a maximum of $2000.00.

Automotive Industries of Association of Canada -  has 3 different scholarships for students entering programs in the automotive aftermarket industry. This includes: automotive apprenticeship, auto body, hard parts, heavy duty mechanic or machinists. Application deadlines are varied.  

Holmes for Homes Foundation -  Every academic year The Holmes Foundation will award up to ten scholarships of $1,500 each - up to five will be awarded to male students and up to five will be awarded to female students. The students must be entering or enrolled in a residential construction program at a Canadian college or university. Applications open early in the start of each new year.
Saskatchewan Youth Apprenticeship Industry Scholarship - are awarded to selected, eligible high school graduates throughout the province who have completed the SYA Program and will be pursuing
  a career in the skilled trades. The scholarships, valued at $1,000 each, will be  awarded to graduating students nominated by selected provincial high schools each June. More information on this
program is available on the SYA  website.
