May 12, 2017

The month of May has ushered in some beautiful weather! Please remember that at Miller we have a school dress policy and wearing appropriate clothing at school shows that we value self-respect. The dress policy can be found in our school handbook, which is on our school website. Please remember that skirts/shorts should not be shorter than your extended finger length when your arms are placed at your sides. Thank you for considering the dress policy each morning before coming to school.

Any grade 11 or 12 student who is interested in checking out Career Spotlights for the month of May they are: Carpentry, Scaffolding, Landscape Architecture, Blacksmith and Powerline. Please see Student Services.

Calling all St. Theresa Alumni, Mr. Forrest and the cast of this year’s drama production – A Snow White Extravaganza – is inviting you to join us on May 17th at 7:0. It would be great if you could join us and relive some of the good old days. That is May the 17th at 7:00 in the Tigerdome!

We have summer time temperatures throughout the remainder of this week…and the school dress policy still applies. The dress policy can be found in our school handbook, which is on our school website. Students are expected to dress appropriately and modestly. Mrs. Donnelly has a variety of spiritwear for students to wear if their chosen attire is not appropriate. Please no midriff type and bra-type tops, halter tops, spaghetti strap tops and muscle shirts. We encourage you to consider the dress policy before coming to school each morning.

Highlights of the evening came with a team try against the Suns that was completed by Balfour’s Matt “The Ogre” Klimchuk and some great tackling by Miller’s Que Wayne “No Shoes” Tulloch and Balfour’s Gurpreet “the Guppee” Singh.
