Hello Griffons Families,

Since our last communication, the weather has improved greatly- dare we celebrate spring?  We hope that whatever the weather, our students and their families are keeping well during this period of remote learning.

Work Package Pick-up April 26th and 27th

Just a reminder that if your child(ren)'s classroom teacher has communicated with you that they will be preparing a paper package for their students, you are welcome to come and pick these up on Monday, April 26th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27th.  Also please note that the front doors of the school are locked; when you arrive ring the doorbell and a staff member will meet you and retrieve the package for you.  Parents we thank you for making the time to get these resources to support your chil(ren)'s learning!

2021-2022 Classroom Placements

While there is still a lot of time left in this school year, our school team will soon begin work on classroom placements for next school year.  As in past years, we invite and value input that families have with regards to their child(ren) and appreciate the perspective that parents may bring to planning for the new school year.  If you have insight that you would like to be considered during our class placement meetings, please email Mme Vany directly at

Please note that we cannot guarantee that any parent requests will be honored, and we will not honor requests for specific teachers; we have an amazing team of professionals at École St. Angela Merici and we celebrate the different strengths and experiences that all our teachers bring to the classroom. Staffing will be finalized over the summer months.

In addition, teachers will be working within their classes to allow students to have a voice in this process as well; our staff will invite friend requests from the students in a few different ways over the next few weeks.  We realize that for some students envisioning a new start, in a new classroom, with a new teacher can cause some anxiety but please be reassured that a lot of thought and time is put into placing students and we consider opportunities for academic, social, and spiritual growth when making these decisions.
