Principal's Message

Well, it looks like we have make it through another winter, although I'm not sure if I

will put away my winter clothes quite yet. Please ensure that your child dresses

appropriately with outdoor attire, including boots. Students are required to have indoor

shoes (runners) to wear especially during the cold and wet months in order to change

footwear from boots to shoes when coming in from outdoors.

The season of Lent began on Wednesday, March 6th. St. Dominic School and members from Resurrection Parish joined us for the Ash Wednesday Mass. The six week preparation

period for Easter provides parents a wonderful opportunity to pass on the faith to their

children. Traditionally, Lent has been a time for the practices of prayer, fasting and

almsgiving. The church doesn't require children younger 14 to fast. However, it does

encourage even young children to pray and give alms to the less fortunate.

Staff Appreciation Week

Thank you to everyone who sent all the wonderful treats and acknowledgements to us

during Staff Appreciation Week. As well, thank you to the CSCC for the wonderful

lunch they provided for the staff. We know that our work with your children is appreciated, but it is a wonderful gift to be acknowledged in this way.

From each and every one of the staff at St. Dominic Savio...Thank you!
