PRINCIPAL' S MESSAGE
As this year ends, we unfortunately have to say farewell to many members of our school family. We will miss our grade 8 students; they are wonderful individuals and leaders in our school. We will also miss the families who will be leaving St. Dominic Savio as they move to other parts of the city or to other cities and provinces. Staffing for next year is tentatively in place, and we find ourselves in the unfortunate position of having to say good-bye to a few staff members.
It is the time of year of farewells. We bid adieu to the families and friends that will be moving over the summer. A fond farewell to Mrs. Malawski (retiring), Mr. Scollan (moving to St. Luke), Mrs. Zook (going on maternity leave), Mrs. Resch (accepted a EdTech Coach Position) and to all of our Grade 8 students. We will definitely miss you and wish you well as you move on to new and exciting challenges.
We extend a warm St. Dominic Savio to Mrs. Hischebett (Kindergarten), Mrs. Wirges (IA),Mr. Sentes (prep), and Mrs. Anders (Grade 5) and to the many kindergartens who will be joining our school family. Welcome! We know you will enjoy the smiles and warmth of our school community.
Mark your calendars!Open House
St. Dominic Savio will be having their Open House & Meet the Teacher Night on Monday, September 2nd from 6:30 – 7:30 pm. Students are able to drop off their backpack and school supplies and meet our staff.
First day back to school for students is Tuesday, September 3rd!
St. Dominic Staff will be on Retreat on Friday, September 27, 2019. There will be NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS. This is an approved day. There is no school of students on this day.
St. Dominic Savio is looking for a boys basketball coach. If you have experience, and are interested in this opportunity, please see Mrs. Neigum. We are also in need of basketball referees during our basketball season. If this is also something that you can help with, please contact Mrs. Neigum.

If you are cleaning over the summer and come across library or textbooks, singlets, uniforms, sports equipment or any other St. Dominic items, please return to school in the fall.
