Willow.jpg"The misson of SYRCA - Saskatchewan Young Readers' Choice Awards - The Willow Awards, Inc. is to promote reading and celebrate Canadian literature. Each year, Saskatchewan children and youth vote for Willow Award recipients from finalists nominated in three award categories."

Students have the opportunity to participate in the Willow Awards. Books for each age category have been purchased - Mme Kobelsky invites grades 4-8 students to join the Willow Club and to read independently. Students in grades 4-6 belong in the Diamond Willow category and they must read 4/10 books in order to vote. Students in grade 7-8 belong in the Snow Willow category and they must read 3/10 books in order to vote. Students in K-3 will also have the opportunity to participate and they will read the books with Mme Kobelsky.

The Willow display is set up in the library... come check it out!!  We have a limited number of copies available for each Willow category. Participating students are strongly encouraged to visit the Regina Public Library to borrow copies of the books they wish to read!
