Principal's Message - March 2020

March 03, 2020

anne.JPGOur Catholic Faith:

As we are in the Season of Lent, Ms. Weber's grade 3/4's and Mrs. Shuba's grade 6's will lead us in the weekly liturgies at our Monday morning assemblies at 9:00 am.

Our School Responsibility Plan:
Each month, as stated in our School Responsibility Plan, we will focus on one virtue to help our students develop a better sense of moral intelligence. This month's virtue is Generosity, and will be presented in daily prayer and a bulletin board display by Mrs. Shuba's grade 6's and Ms. Weber's grade 3/4's. Our "Guardian of the Month" presentations, to the student who best demonstrates that monthly virtue in the classroom and around the school, will be announced at our next Monthly Assembly on Monday, March 30 at 9:00 am in the gym. All of the students who earn a "Guardian of the Month" recognition in the second half of the year will attend an activity/excursion in the afternoon with Mrs. Zenuk and me in June as a "thank you" for showing such positive behavior around St. Gabriel School.

Our Curriculum & Assessment:
On March 25 and 26, we will host a second round of PSTC to review the learning goals set by students. We will once again use the SchoolSoft Conference Manager program for the online signups. Ms. Ripplinger will be organizing this round and will be forwarding you the information.

The final report card will be distributed June 25, with comments included.

Our Communication with the Community:
Our next CSCC meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 10 at 6:30 pm in the library.

A sincere thank you to the CSCC and all the families who contributed to our Staff Appreciation Week activities and treats. We were absolutely spoiled all week. With a decorated staff room, breakfast on Monday, hot/cold beverages on Tuesday, lunch on Wednesday (and all our supervision covered by parents), donuts and pick-a-lottery scratch ticket on Thursday, gift cards on Friday, as well as the many treats left in the staff room for all of us all week, it was unbelievably amazing.

Email me @ if you have any questions/concerns!

God Bless,

Mrs. Anne Lutz
