Students in Regina Catholic Schools and in St. Jerome School have the opportunity to take Band once they are in Grade 6. There is a Grade 6 Band, and a Grade 7/8 Band in elementary schools. Students have a sectional practice once a week at the school, and are also bussed to Riffel High School once a week for Full band Practice.
Our Band Teacher is Ms. Katrina Hognerud. She can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org
Grade 6 Band students have their band sectional lessons every Day 5 in the morning at the school. Grade 7 & 8 Band students have their band sectional lessons every Day 4 in the afternoon at the school.
Both the Grade 6 Band students, and the Grade 7/8 Band students have Full Band Practice every Day 4 at Riffel High School in the morning. Students are transported to and from Riffel by bus.
Hello Band Parents and Students,
Just a reminder, Band Fees were due November 1st, 2017. If you did not receive the registration forms (yellow paper), contact your Band Director or just go online to our website. We have waived late fees this year as we are encouraging more of you to register and pay online. Please visit our newly enhanced website www.rcsbpa.ca and pay online to help us continue to provide for all the band students.
We want to extend an invitation to all Band Parents to come and join the Board of Regina Catholic Schools Band Parents Association (RCSBPA). Our Band program grows every year and needs to be better represented by you, the parents. At the end of the year we will be losing (to graduation) some key positions such as President, Treasurer and our Registrar will be moving positions. We have tried to lessen the load at each position and they could also be shared if needed. Come and find out how we spend your band fees and just what things are happening in the school year. See for yourself how the partnership between the Regina Catholic Schools and the RCSBPA works. We usually meet every second Tuesday of the Month. If you would like further information, my contact information is below. Consider being active part in your son or daughters music education.
Have a very Merry Christmas and we hope to see many new faces in 2018 at our next meeting!!!
