<p>St. Jerome School opened on September 5, 1978. The school was not completed in time for the fall opening, so staff and students spent several months at the St. Josaphat School facility. The first Principal of St. Jerome was John Stochmal. St. Jerome started with 67 students from Kindergarten to Grade 8. At the time of this writing, St. Jerome School now has 257 students from Kindergarten to Grade 8, along with Pre-Kindergarten and Special Needs students.</p>

<p>Every Monday is “Lead Like a Lion” spirit day. &nbsp;On Mondays, students and staff are encouraged to wear St. Jerome spirit wear clothing, or to dress in black and gold. It looks wonderful in assemblies to see all our St. Jerome Lions sporting their black and gold.&nbsp;</p>
