St. Kateri Boundary Review Information

January 20, 2020

January 15, 2020

Regina Catholic Schools reviews all boundaries every year.
Projected growth indicates that within five years, there will be over 1,000 students at St. Kateri. Ten years from now, there would be over 1,300. St. Kateri Tekakwitha School was built to accommodate 600 students with portables.
With these numbers in mind Regina Catholic Schools will be adjusting boundaries which will impact some families at St. Kateri for the 2021-2022 school year.
Effective September 2021, we are making the following boundary adjustments:
 The Deshaye boundary will expand to include the area south of Gordon and east of the Lewvan
 The Ecole St. Pius boundary will expand to include the area south of 25th Ave and east of the Lewvan
 The St. Kateri boundary will include the area west of the Lewvan
We know change can be hard, especially for children. We are sharing this information over a year in advance to plan for the changes. Regina Catholic Schools will contact all families directly impacted by these changes, and we will meet with you to review the changes, discuss potential accommodations to grandfather bussing for grade 8 students, and outline out of area registration options.
