Two separate cases of COVID-19 have been diagnosed in individual(s) at St. Kateri. It is important to note that these cases are not linked to transmission within the school but come from the community. In consultation with public health, close contacts have been identified and all parents/students of the impacted classrooms and on the Elephant AM bus have been notified and provided information on self-isolation. We are working closely with Public Health staff to ensure necessary measures are in place to protect all students.
In an abundance of caution, we have closed the impacted classrooms and the Elephant AM bus. These students will begin remote learning after the break for the duration of the self-isolation period. All other classrooms remain open with classes resuming Monday, March 15, 2021.
We remind everyone to monitor for any signs or symptoms of COVID-19. Refer to the Daily Self-Assessment Checklist. Please complete this before attending school each day. If you/your child has any symptoms of COVID-19, please call the HealthLine at 811 and remain at home. If medical attention is required, please call ahead to your health care provider. We will continue to provide additional information to parents/guardians as it is available. For further information regarding COVID-19, please call HealthLine at 811, and/or visit the Saskatchewan Ministry of Health website at www.saskatchewan.ca/covid19.
We wish all our families good health, and pray for all those impacted by the virus.
