Greetings from the Regina Catholic School Division Board of Trustees!

Happy New Year, and a very Merry Christmas to those who celebrate the birth of Jesus according to the Byzantine Rite! We pray 2019 brings our families peace, joy, and happiness as we continue to walk together with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Advent was a beautiful time of patience and waiting. We are so proud of our students for participating in various different Advent service projects: from filling hampers; to generously sharing with others; to sewing teddy bears to give to children in crisis. The thought and caring shown for others in December was inspiring.

John answered, "Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same." Luke 3:11

The new year brings many new projects. We are working on finalizing the school year calendar for 2019-2020, and we look forward to sharing it with you as soon as the Ministry of Education approves it. Schools are also already preparing for the 2019-20 school year, and all elementary schools will begin accepting Kindergarten registrations later this month. Pre-kindergarten enrollment begins in Feburary.

Please keep our high school students in your prayers at the end of this month. They begin course finalization exams on January 23. Semester two starts on February 1.

This month will also bring the announcement of the individuals selected to be honoured at our inaugural Distinguish Alumni Gala in May. We are excited to share with you the amazing things our former students are doing to spread the love of Christ throughout the world.

Even when we pray alone, we pray together with all the people of God. ~ Pope Francis

Thank you for choosing Regina Catholic Schools and a faith-based education for your children. We are happy to celebrate the successes of our students, and honoured to walk with them on their journeys.
