Greetings from the Regina Catholic School Division Board of Trustees!
To help mitigate the spread of COVID-19, our Board is meeting in a larger room, with limited guests. Public can watch the meetings via livestream.
We are Regina Catholic Schools. Know, Love, Serve.
The 2020-2021 School Year continues as we roll further into autumn. In one of those mysteries of time, it feels as though September just began, and yet we find ourselves well into the school year. They say time flies when you're having fun, and we pray there is a lot of fun to be found despite the global pandemic.
As we have said many times, our plans this year are fluid. There have been changes throughout the past month, and we appreciate you taking the time to stay informed. Though it has been difficult, we have had chances to celebrate. Being able to come together as a school community once again was anxious yet exciting. We learned we will be able to move ahead with some sports programming, even though we will need to limit competition to school-based sports. We have grown together in our journey toward Reconciliation with Indigenous peoples, and we have embraced our faith.
Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. ~Matthew 11:28
October brings a chance to reflect on gratitude as we mark Thanksgiving. Monday, October 12 is the Thanksgiving Day holiday, and Monday, October 26 is a day off for students for Teachers' Institute. The Teachers' Institute day was moved in the summer to accommodate the Provincial Election, allowing us to keep exposure to visitors to our buildings limited during school days.
We wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving weekend,
